Hey, it’s Jenny with Jenny’s Gems & I am so happy you found me!
I have been an athlete my whole life - from softball to volleyball and then running in my late 20’s I always needed to move! After suffering an injury 4 months postpartum, I was sidelined for a few years and discovered a torn hip labrum. At 36 I had hip surgery, spent 6 weeks on crutches and knew that running was not happening any time soon. I saw a Nutritionist who changed my life. I learned how to eat according to a meal plan and began to prep for my first Bikini BodyBuilding Competition. I won First Place in all my classes and my IPE Pro Card!
Needless to say… I was hooked! I fell in love with Body Building and all things Bikini Competition related. It lit a fire in me that I never knew that I had! I have now competed in 6 local amateur shows, placing either 1st or 2nd in all my classes and one National Level show in which I placed 10th. Hey, top 10 in your FIRST national show is incredible! I’ll take it!! I have now competed in 8 total shows. 6 amateur, 1 Pro Show and 1 National Show!
I started coaching in December of 2018. I was bursting with knowledge and excitement and was DYING to share it! The more clients I worked with, the more excited I became! Watching these girls transform in their confidence and over all package from their 1st day to show day brought tears to my eyes. I wanted them to succeed so badly and was incredibly proud of each one and their journeys to the stage.
A little more behind the scenes… I am a mom to two beautiful girls!
So why join my team? I remember what it was like to try and navigate my way through this industry in my first show and first year. Having someone with a lot of experience by your side makes competing a little easier! After childbirth, after surgery... I know what it’s like to NEED something for yourself and how difficult it is to balance “all the things” and still make time for YOU. I have researched and studied this sport and I feel it is my duty as your coach to share literally ALL the details I have learned (the good, the bad and the “What did she say? Eww”) to help you feel your BEST and completely prepared come show day!
